Body found on Vancouver’s Wreck Beach

Police and the coroner are investigating a death at Vancouver’s Wreck beach Wednesday morning.

Mounties were called to the scene just after 7 a.m. for reports of an “unresponsive person,” according to a statement from the University RCMP.

“Despite lifesaving efforts, the person was declared deceased,” the statement continued.

Police have not released a cause of death or any information about the person, such as age or gender.
