Body found in Vancouver’s False Creek

Police are seen recovering a body from Vancouver's False Creek on Saturday, May 2.

Officers pulled a person’s body from False Creek in downtown Vancouver Saturday, police say.

Vancouver Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Adam Donaldson confirmed to CTV News in an email that a body had been recovered after a Marine Unit boat was seen near the Plaza of Nations in the afternoon.

He said the person’s death is not considered suspicious.

Police are not releasing any identifying information about the individual until their next-of-kin is notified.
