The squishy fidget line of toys known as NeeDoh, continued its run of popularity in Regina. Regina’s Zippity Zoom Toys held another NeeDoh launch on Sunday, and fans of all ages were lined up down the block to get their fill. Although the launch was at 10 a.m., some people arrived at 7:30 or earlier to wait for the store to open. The queue stretched down the line of businesses along the South Albert Street service road all the way to McDonald’s. Young NeeDoh fans Paityn and Mason Miller told CTV News they waited in line for multiple hours with their grandparents to get their hands on a couple of variations of the fidget toy. “Right now, I have seven NeeDohs,” said Paityn. “My favourite is the Nice Cube, I like that they’re pretty hard.” Mason says he currently has six NeeDohs. “My favourite is the dream drop because they feel super nice,” he added. Some of the different NeeDoh the Nice Cream, Squeeza and Fuzz Ball. The toy has been made wildly popular due in part to TikTok trends like ‘NeeDoh Hunting.’ Stores like TWB Co, and Zippity Zoom that carry the toy, say the NeeDoh’s popularity stems from it being a simple fidget toy that all ages can play with and keep their hands busy. In a social media post, Zippity Zoom said 336 customers were able to get their hands on a NeeDoh, with the store selling out by 1 p.m.
