1 person dead after car crash in Langley: RCMP

A person is dead after a car crash in Aldergrove Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Mounties say police, firefighters and paramedics responded to a single-vehicle collision in the 3300 block of 264^th Street just before 5 p.m.

Images from the scene show a car rolled over in a ditch.

“Tragically, despite life saving efforts, one individual succumbed to their injures at the scene,” said Langley RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, in a statement.

“The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) have been deployed to assist with the investigation.”

Roads in the area were closed for several hours for the investigation but have since reopened.
