TORONTO — Sarah Stratigakis scored the eventual winner as AFC Toronto defeated Ottawa Rapid FC 2-1 in Northern Super League action on Sunday at BMO Field. Stratigakis scored in the 86th minute to put Toronto (9-5-4) ahead 2-0. Florence Belzile put Ottawa (10-5-3) on the board three minutes later to make it a one-goal game. Kaylee Hunter had the opening goal for Toronto in the 73rd minute. Ottawa remained in second in the six-team league standings, one point behind Montreal. However, the loss pushed Ottawa’s losing streak to three games. Meanwhile, Toronto is now on a two-game winning streak and two points behind Ottawa in third.
