Police say they believe the same suspect is responsible for at least six gas station robberies in York Region over the last five days. The most recent one occurred in the area of Major Mackenzie Drive and McCowan Road in Markham shortly before 2:30 a.m. Two hours before that, at around 12:20 a.m. in the area of Hillwood Street and McCowan Road in Markham, York Regional Police said a male suspect entered the another gas station, made threats and demanded cash. The suspect fled the scene with a quantity of currency, police said. The suspect is described as a six-foot-tall male with a thin build and was last seen wearing a grey toque, a dark shirt with a black long sleeve underneath, black pants, black gloves and grey footwear. Police added the suspect was using a white shirt as a mask. Investigators believe the suspect with the same matching description is responsible for the following robberies: Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
