One person was taken to hospital following a robbery in Regina on Wednesday, with three people now facing charges. Officers were called to the 1300 block of Saskatchewan Drive around 11:30 a.m. for a report of robbery, according to the Regina Police Service on Thursday. Police say the caller witnessed a group of individuals assaulting a man, with one suspect appearing to have been striking the victim with a firearm. When officers arrived, they located the victim nearby, who told police a group of individuals assaulted him before taking a gazebo and grocery items before leaving on foot. EMS took the victim to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two suspects were located nearby by additional officers and were taken into custody without incident. Officers identified a third suspect after reviewing surveillance footage. The third suspect was later found and arrested in the area of Halifax Street and 11th Avenue. Following the arrest, officers found and seized a C02 firearm. Three men, 24, 18, and 28, are all charged with robbery. The 28-year-old man is additionally charged with failure to comply with a probation order, use of an imitation firearm during commission of an indictable offence and two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order. All three men appeared in Regina Provincial Court on Thursday morning.
