Four suspects forced entry into an Ancaster jewelry store overnight, smashing display cases and stealing multiple items, police say. On Monday, at around 3:40 a.m., investigators say the suspects broke into a jewelry store on Wilson Street in Ancaster, a community in between Hamilton and Brantford. The suspects smashed the store’s exterior door before prying open a metal interior door to get inside, Hamilton police said in a press release. The individuals proceeded to smash display cases, remove items, and flee the scene, according to investigators. The full list of stolen merchandise is still being assessed, police say.
