1 person seriously injured, another under arrest, following stabbing in Scarborough

One person has been taken to the hospital and another is under arrest following a stabbing in Scarborough late Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred in the Tam O’Shanter-Sullivan neighbourhood, near Allanford Road and Dempster Street, which is south of Sheppard Avenue East and east of Birchmount Road.

Toronto police said they were called to that area at 11:40 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.

There, officers located a man with stab wounds.

He was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, they said.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
