Wasaga Beach has not confirmed its election results due to computer disruptions. In a statement from the Town of Wasaga Beach, Wasaga staff explain the reason for the delay in releasing Election night results. “Polls for the 2026 Municipal Election closed at 8 p.m. this evening. The town’s contracted election services provider, Neuvote, is currently experiencing a delay in providing the election results to the Town. Neuvote staff are working diligently to provide the results as quickly as possible. Unofficial municipal election results will be posted at wasagabeach.com/election as soon as they are received and available for publication." Early Tuesday morning, it appears the unofficial numbers for Brian Smith lead him back to the mayoral seat with 6,102 votes and 51.3 per cent of all votes for the office of the mayor.
