An officer with the B.C. RCMP’s major crimes section has been charged with accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material, according to provincial prosecutors. Const. Graham James Love has been charged with one count of accessing the material and one count of breach of trust after an investigation into offenses alleged to have occurred in Port Coquitlam between February of 2023 and May of 2025, the B.C. Prosecution Service said in a statement Tuesday. “The charges were approved by an experienced Crown counsel who has no connection with the accused,” according to the BCPS. A spokesperson for the B.C. RCMP said the criminal investigation began in August of last year, along with a code of conduct investigation. “Const. Love remains suspended with pay and his duty status is subject to continuous review and assessment,” Staff Sgt. Kris Clark wrote in an emailed statement to CTV News. Love is not in custody and his first court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 18.
