Police investigate break and enter of Oakville luxury auto shop

Luxury vehicles damaged in Oakville break-in A luxury car dealership in Oakville says multiple vehicles were damaged by a group of suspects and it was all captured on security camera.

Police are conducting an investigation after a break in was reported at an auto shop in Oakville.

Early Monday morning, police responded to a break-and-enter call to Clarkson Fine Cars Inc. on Royal Windsor Drive.

Konrad Fliszcza, general manager of Clarkson Fine Cars, said three men wearing masks and gloves arrived at the shop around 6:30 a.m. The men took a number of car keys and headed to the parking lot, where they tested each key until they found a car that unlocked.

They entered a Porsche Cayenne, started up the engine, and used it to smash the gate. According to the Fliszcza, the men attempted to steal a BMW, but could not figure out how to start it. Instead, an Audi S4 was taken as well as several keys to other vehicles.

No cash was taken, but Fliszcza says that windows were smashed with a hammer.

Fliszcza said he believes the men may have done a little reconnaissance prior to the incident on March 12.

“I think that they might have come around a little bit before to see where the rest of the keys were kept. They knew exactly where they were,” Fliszcza told CP24.

Police say the same three men tried to steal a car from MVL Leasing LTD, a used-car dealership, down the road. The window was broken, but it appears as though the men could not find the lock box for the car keys.

Det. Ron Wright of the Halton Regional Police said officers are working to identify the suspects.

"We're doing extensive canvassing, looking for video cameras that may be in the area video in the area that would've captured this. We will follow up on any and all leads," Wright said.

No arrests have been made.
