Police are investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle in Etobicoke on Thursday night, causing life-threatening injuries.

Toronto police say they were called to the area of Rexdale Boulevard and Queen’s Plate Drive shortly before 9 p.m.

The man was rushed to a trauma centre with potentially life-threatening injuries, Toronto paramedics say.

The driver of the vehicle, police say, remained at the scene.

The circumstances that led to the incident are under investigation.
