A 62-year-old man struck by a TTC streetcar in downtown Toronto last week has died, police say. The collision happened at the intersection of King Street East and St. Lawrence Street around 6:30 p.m. on July 31. Police said the man was walking north at the intersection when an eastbound streetcar struck him. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died six days later, police said in an update on Friday. It is the city’s 31st traffic fatality of the year. The investigation is ongoing and police are still asking anyone with information to contact Traffic Services at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
