Hot, humid weather in Toronto’s forecast on Thursday

It will feel like 32 today, marking the end of a warm stretch that will lead into a weekend cool down. Bill Coulter has your seven-day forecast

Toronto is set to see a blast of heat and humidity today.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 28 C on Thursday, feeling closer to 33 when factoring in the humidex.

CP24 Meteorologist Bill Coulter says “bright skies” and “very warm” weather will give Toronto a “very mid-summery feel” on a “mid-September day.”

But the heat won’t last long.

“We’re coming to the end of this stretch of very warm and dry weather. Cooler winds invade for the start of the weekend,” Coulter said on Thursday.

“Friday’s high will pull back to seasonable. Saturday will be much cooler with gusty winds (and the) high topping out in the upper teens.”

The national weather agency says Toronto will see a high of 21 C on Friday and 19 C on Saturday.

Showers are possible on Sunday evening and Monday afternoon, Coulter said.

Temperatures are expected to recover for the start of the work week and hold “above normal through midweek, he added.

Daytime highs of 24 C and 25 C are in the forecast for Sunday and Monday, Environment Canada says.
