Parts of the Gardiner Expressway and Lake Shore Boulevard that were closed on Sunday afternoon due to a police investigation have reopened. The incident caused the highway to go down to one last eastbound from Bay Street to the Jarvis Street off ramp. The eastbound on ramp from Bay Street as well as the Jarvis Street off ramp were also both shut down. Police later announced the closure of eastbound Lake Shore Boulevard at Yonge Street. Investigators said the closures were due to a “non-criminal incident” and that there was no risk to public safety.
