Prince Albert RCMP are investigating a break-in and vehicle theft in the RM of Buckland that they believe may be connected. At around 6:35 p.m. on Nov. 5 police received a report of a break and enter at a home in the community. Police later determined that several armed suspects damaged a garage on the property and approached the home but did not enter it. No injuries were reported. Police say Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team and Police Dog Services also responded to the scene. During the investigation, officers found an abandoned van on the property. Police later determined the vehicle had been reported stolen from Foxford, Sask., on Nov. 2. While officers were still at the scene, they received a report of a stolen truck from a property on Gardiner Road. The vehicle is described as a red Dodge Ram with the Saskatchewan licence plate 696 PFV. RCMP say they continue to investigate both incidents and believe they may be linked. Police have released photos of one of the suspects, who was wearing a shirt with a distinctive design on the back. Anyone who recognizes the suspect, has seen the stolen truck or has information about the incidents is asked to contact police.
