Two in hospital after serious collision in Saskatoon

Two people were taken to hospital after a head‑on collision on Idylwyld Drive Saturday evening, according to Saskatoon police.

Shortly after 7 p.m., officers were called to the scene near 8th Street East overpass, where police say a southbound vehicle began travelling in the northbound lanes and collided with another vehicle.

A 29‑year‑old woman and a 27‑year‑old man were taken to hospital with injuries.

Traffic restrictions were put in place as officers responded to what they described as a “serious crash” south of the Sid Buckwold Bridge, but the roadway was reopened later in the evening.

Saskatoon police say the collision analyst unit continues to investigate the collision.
