Three charged after police say they forced their way into a downtown Saskatoon apartment

Three people are facing charges after police say a Saskatoon woman was approached by three people outside her downtown apartment who forced their way inside, confined her to a bedroom and robbed her.

Officers were called to the apartment in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue North just after midnight on Sunday, the Saskatoon Police Service said in a news release Monday morning.

The victim told police she was smoking a cigarette outside the building when she was approached by three people she did not know who forced her back into the building and demanded access to her suite.

“Once inside, the victim and her roommate were confined to a room while the suspects robbed the suite and stole the keys to her vehicle. The suspects then fled in the victim’s vehicle,” police said in the release.

Officers soon found the vehicle nearby and police say the suspects were seen getting into a cab. Police stopped the cab and arrested the suspects, two women and a man.

The suspects, 26-year-old Logan Gunn, 32-year-old Rachel Martell and 31-year-old Donya Lewis, face charges relating to kidnapping, unlawful confinement, break and enter, robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.
