The Saskatoon Hilltops have won their 24th national title, defeating the Okanogan Sun at the 2025 CJFL Canadian Bowl.

The Saskatoon Hilltops have won their 24th national title, following a 21-18 victory over the Okanogan Sun at the 2025 CJFL Canadian Bowl.

Ryden Gratton kicked a game-winning field goal with just 30 seconds left on the clock, lifting the Hilltops to a dramatic finish Sunday afternoon.

Saskatoon led for much of the game, but the Sun tied it up with just over 1:30 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Gratton’s clutch kick sealed the win and secured the Hilltops’ 24th Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) national title, the most in league history.

David Collins was named offensive player of the game.

The Hilltops last won the championship in 2023. Their opponents, the Okanagan Sun, have now appeared in two of the last three finals.

Earlier this season, Saskatoon suffered a lopsided loss in their opening game but bounced back to defeat the Regina Thunder in the Prairie Football Conference final last month, earning their spot in the Canadian Bowl.
