Drivers can expect to use the University Bridge within the next few weeks. But be prepared for construction to take longer on the College Drive Link project. The City of Saskatoon says the bridge is expected to reopen the week of June 29, though there will be some lane restrictions on 25th street. “The bridge opens to general traffic, there will be two-way traffic with lane restrictions on 25th St for the 25th St water main rehabilitation project, on the bridge deck for the arch repair project, and on College Dr for the College Dr Link corridor project” the city said in a statement to CTV. Meanwhile, the College Drive Link project is still on budget, but has faced some delays. “The College Dr Link project is on budget but has experienced some delays in Stage 1 due to weather events, coordination with shallow-buried utility relocations, removal of old trolley rails, as well as discovery and removal of old house foundations and basements in the roadway footprint” the city said. Back in April, the city said the work on College Drive was expected to finish as students return to class in the fall at the U of S.
