Toronto police are searching for a male suspect who allegedly stole jewelry worth more than $5,000 from a senior in North York. The incident happened on Aug. 27 near Jane Street and Sheppard Avenue West. Toronto police say at around 4:15 p.m. that day, a man attended an apartment in that area, advising an 80-year-old woman than he was there to do repairs. Investigators say the woman let him in and while inside the unit he allegedly stole the jewelry. The suspect is described as approximately 30 years old with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, white and black shoes, and eyeglasses. Toronto police believe there are more victims and are urging anyone with further information to contact them at 416-808-3100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
