A 34-year-old man from Stanley Mission is dead after an ATV collided with a sign. Saskatchewan RCMP say it happened on Aug. 28 at around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 915 and Bear Avenue in Stanley Mission. According to RCMP, the man was driving the ATV when the collision happened. He was taken to hospital by EMS where he was later pronounced dead. His family has been notified. Stanley Mission RCMP are continuing to investigate the incident with help from an RCMP collision reconstructionist. As of Aug. 31, there have been 62 fatal collisions resulting in 75 fatalities on roadways policed by Saskatchewan RCMP in 2026. Stanley Mission is located roughly 79 kilometres northeast of La Ronge.
