Saskatchewan RCMP are searching for three suspects in connection to a shooting and robbery on Yellow Quill First Nation on June 20. According to RCMP, the incident began when a group of people approached two men walking in the community Saturday evening. RCMP say the group of people robbed the pair. One of the men was injured after a gun was fired. When the incident was reported to Rose Valley RCMP on the evening of June 21, the injured man reported non-life-threatening injuries to police and was treated in hospital. Officers with Rose Valley RCMP, along with Yorkton RCMP Police Dog Services searched the area for the suspects but did not find them. A total of three men are now facing charges. Warrants have been issued for their arrests. Kynan Desjarlais, 23, from Yellow Quill First Nation, faces a total of 13 weapons related charges, including robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, discharging a firearm with intent, possession of a restricted firearm, among others. He is described as six feet tall and 149 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Damon Nippi, 23, also from Yellow Quill First Nation, has been charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm and failure to comply with release order conditions. He is described as five feet eight inches, 154 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He also has tattoos on both arms, a tattoo on the right side of his neck and a cross tattoo under his left eye. Rylance Quewezance, 29, from Saskatoon has been charged with one count of robbery with a firearm. He is described as five feet six inches, 149 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. If anyone sees any of the suspects, RCMP advises not to approach them and to either contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers or RCMP.
