Saskatoon police seize 3D-printed gun

A man faces several weapons-related charges following a firearms investigation in Saskatoon that turned up several guns - including a prohibited 3D-printed handgun.

On Mar. 6 the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Guns and Gangs Unit alongside the Tactical Support Unit and National Weapons Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a home in the 2300 block of William Avenue.

A 36-year-old man was arrested, and police seized the following:

• 3D-printed Glock-style 9mm handgun (fully operational; prohibited)
• Rock Island M1911 A1FS .45 calibre handgun
• Glock 9mm handgun
• 9mm ammunition
• .45 calibre ammunition
• Cell phones

The man has been charged with several firearms-related offences.
