Metropolitan Expressway (A-40) East closed this weekend for paving work

Those planning commutes on the weekend should avoid the Metropolitan (A-40) eastbound between the Decarie and Laurentians interchanges, as it will be closed for paving work.

The Ministry of Transport (MTQ) said on Monday that the Metropolitan east lanes will be closed between the Côte-de-Liesse Interchange and Highway 15 (Laurentian) North from Friday at 11:30 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

Traffic will be forced onto the Côte-de-Liesse service road, causing heavy congestion.

As a result, the following default closures begin on Friday at 11 p.m.:

• Metropolitan (A-40) East on ramp from Cavendish Boulevard
• Ramp from Highway 520 East to the Metropolitan (A-40) East
• Metropolitan (A-40) East on-ramp from Marcel-Laurin Boulevard
• Metropolitan (A-40) East ramp to the Décarie Expressway (A-15) South
• The Décarie Expressway (A-15) North ramp to the Metropolitan (A-40)
• On-ramp to the Metropolitan (A-40) at Sainte-Croix Avenue
• Exit No. 68 (Stinson Street / Rockland Road / de l’Acadie Boulevard) from the Metropolitan (A-40) East
• The Metropolitan (A-40) East ramp to the Laurentians Highway (A-15) North
• Exit No. 71 (R-335 / St-Laurent Blvd. / St-Denis St.) from the Metropolitan (A-40) East.
