A stolen vehicle attempting to evade police before rolling has led to one person in hospital with serious injuries and an RCMP investigation. On June 6, at around 9:30 p.m., a Prince Albert RCMP officer witnessed a vehicle commit a traffic offence at Highway #2 and the Northside Grid Road. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled at high speed, then rolled. Two people were inside the vehicle when it rolled. One was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other was taken by STARS to the hospital with serious injuries. The investigation found the vehicle was reported stolen from Birch Hills earlier that day. Prince Albert RCMP continue to investigate, alongside a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
