One dead after house fire in Saskatoon

Investigation is underway after one person died in a house fire in Saskatoon on Friday.

Saskatoon fire crews were called to a home in the 400 block of Avenue I South. While working to put out the fire, crews found one occupant inside the residence.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene, the city said.

As of 3:59 p.m. on Friday, fire inspectors were at the scene investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
