Saskatchewan Huskies running back Ryker Frank has entered the record books, and it could happen again before the season’s over. The speedy and agile running back earned his 31st touchdown of his career Saturday night, claiming the all-time Huskies touchdown record. The score came in the third quarter of Saturday’s contest against the Alberta Golden Bears when Frank plowed into the endzone from 12 yards out, getting help from his teammates to push him over the line against a stiff opposing defence. The Huskies went on to down the Golden Bears 31-24 moving up to 5-1 on the season to maintain their hold on first place in the Canada West conference. Meanwhile, the fifth-year running back also has another record in his sights. Frank is chasing the all-time rushing record currently held by Doug Rozen, who set the mark back in 1999, notching 4,086 rushing yards. Frank currently has 3,617 career rushing yards, and the Huskies still have two regular season games remaining and will play at least one playoff game. Saskatchewan has this weekend off before heading to Vancouver next weekend to face the UBC Thunderbirds. The Huskies cap off the regular season schedule at Griffiths Stadium Oct. 25 against Manitoba.
