Three months after arson at Saskatoon dealership, fire incinerates multiple vehicles

An early morning fire Wednesday destroyed several vehicles and an office at a used car dealership in Saskatoon that was the scene of an arson in December.

Emergency crews were called to Daou Auto on Avenue F South around 4:15 a.m. They arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the building, and vehicles on fire.

Crews used multiple hoses to extinguish both the vehicles and building.

There were no injuries to report as a result of the blaze.

A fire investigator is working to identify the cause, origin, and damage estimate.

This is the second fire at the dealership in three months. On Dec. 20, a suspect clad in a dark jacket and tan pants was captured on camera before starting a fire at the business.

Saskatoon police say no one has yet been charged in that investigation.

An arson investigator was sent to examine the scene Wednesday morning, but the police said it’s too early to tell if this fire was deliberately set.
