Budget Rent-A-Car evacuated after water main break

Water pouring out of Budget Car Rental in Saskatoon's north end Wednesday afternoon led to the building's evacuation.

A major water main break forced the evacuation of Budget Rent-A-Car in Saskatoon’s north end Wednesday afternoon.

Water was pouring out of the business on 45th Street West when fire crews arrived shortly before 2 p.m. The underground water line supplying the building broke, which caused the flooding.

City water crews and Sask Power employees shut off water and power to the building.

The power will remain off until crews deem it safe to turn on again.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
