Blaine Lake to receive arena funding through NHL’s Kraft Hockeyville

The Saskatchewan town of Blaine Lake is one of several Canadian communities awarded funding through the 2026 Kraft Hockeyville program.

Blaine Lake, located about 80 kilometres north of Saskatoon, is one of 13 provincial and territorial winners getting $50,000 for upgrades to the Blaine Lake Skating Rink.

The town is now in the national Kraft Hockeyville contest, with the opportunity to potentially host an NHL preseason game. Canadians will vote on the winner once the top two finalists are announced March 21.

2026 is the first year Hockeyville is awarding funds to 13 provincial and territorial winners, in recognition of the 20 anniversary of the program. The campaign has awarded $5.4 million dollars to 105 communities across Canada since 2026.
