A flag unveiling was held in the Legislative building on Monday to kick off TeleMiracle Week. The 50th annual show will take place in Saskatoon this weekend and will feature a live audience. More than $171 million has been raised since the first TeleMiracle, with funds going towards medical travel and life changing equipment for residents of Saskatchewan. “The purple and gold colors represent the original Kinsmen and Kinette colors that were [the] colors back in 1977, when that first show aired. So, it’s very special flag and very special opportunity to be here with our governmental officials this morning,” Tammy Blackwell, the chair of TeleMiracle 50 said on Monday. The telethon will run for 22 hours from Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. until March 1 at 5 p.m.
