A pair of teens in Regina are facing several charges after being caught carrying homemade firearms on a city bus. At around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, Regina police received a report claiming a youth was waving a gun around inside a city bus. Officers arrived in the area of Park Street and Victoria Avenue where they found three youths on the bus, which included an 11-year-old, a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old. The trio were taken into custody. During the arrests, officers seized three loaded homemade firearms, bear mace and other live ammunition. The 14-year-old and 15-year-old boys were charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle and three counts of possessing a prohibited firearm with ammunition. Both of the accused made their first appearances in Regina Provincial Youth Court on Wednesday.
