A 22-year-old man is in critical condition after being found behind the wheel of a pickup truck with gunshot wounds late Thursday morning, Montreal police say. Police said they received several 911 calls at 11:45 a.m. reporting gunshots near the intersection of Carmel and Henri-Julien avenues, in the Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie borough. When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim injured inside the truck. “The man was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries,” said Manuel Couture, a police spokesperson. Police, who found shell casings and bullet holes at the scene, are calling it an attempted murder. A potential suspect was arrested near the scene of the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
