A third person has been charged related to the deaths of two people in Regina last week. On Tuesday afternoon, Regina police announced that Faizon Alexson, 30, had been arrested and charged earlier in the day in connection with the suspected homicide on the 1100 block of Elphinstone Street. Alexson has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder and four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order. He’s accused alongside Patricia Stevenson, 19, and Rose Sparvier, 42, who each face two second-degree murder charges. Stevenson has also been charged with possession of a loaded firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm. On Aug. 11, police were called to the 1100 block of Elphinstone Street in response to reported shooting of two people. When they arrived, they found two people — a 42-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man — dead outside a home. Alexson also faces an additional charge of unauthorized possession of a firearm. His two co-accused appeared in Regina Provincial Court last week while Alexson is scheduled to appear on Aug. 19 at 9:30 a.m. Police say the names of the victims will not be released at the request of the victims’ families.
