A woman remains in critical but stable condition at the hospital after being shot in Moncton over the weekend, according to the RCMP. Police say the responded to a reported home invasion on Marsh Street around 10:21 p.m. on Saturday. They learned two masked men allegedly entered the home, at which point a firearm was discharged and the woman suffered a gunshot wound. “It was quickly determined that this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” the release reads. “Police also believed that the individuals involved were known to one another.” Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 506-857-2400, or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.crimenb.ca.
