Leader RCMP has charged four individuals in relation to multiple vehicle theft-related calls for service, all believed to be connected, in October. On October 5, 2025, Leader RCMP received a report of vehicle theft overnight from a business in Leader, Sask. Following investigation, the vehicle was located in the Kindersley RCMP Detachment area. On October 9, 10 and 12, Leader RCMP recovered vehicles, all reported as stolen from the Kindersley detachment area, in the Leader Detachment area. Leader RCMP arrested two individuals on October 10 in Liebenthal, Sask., and two individuals on October 12 in Leader. The four accused include a 31-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, a 40-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman – all of whom hail from Medicine Hat, Alta. All four of the accused face one count of possessing break-in instruments. Each member of the group faces further additional charges. The 40-year-old faces the most charges, with a total of eight counts including theft under $5,000, breaking and entering, and possessing ammunition while prohibited. The 47-year-old woman is charged with one count each of breaking and entering with intent and possessing property obtained by crime – while 31-year-old faces two counts of theft of a motor vehicle. The 32-year-old faces a further charge of possessing property obtained by crime. The 31-year-old accused made her first appearance in provincial court in Swift Current on Oct. 14. The remaining three members of the group are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 22 and Nov. 20. Leader is located approximately 385 kilometres northwest of Regina.
