RCMP escalate search for Mekayla Bali

RCMP are expanding the search for a missing Saskatchewan teenager to Alberta and Manitoba more than three months after her disappearance.

Mekayla Bali, 17, was reported missing by her family on April 12, and was last seen at the STC bus depot in Yorkton the same day.

RCMP say there is no new information to suggest Bali has left Saskatchewan, but they are using the child search as another investigative tool to gather more information.

RCMP say rumors have circulated that Bali is in either Regina or Saskatoon, and several sightings have been reported to police, but she has still not been located. At this point in the investigation, RCMP say there is no indication of foul play in Bali’s disappearance.

Bali is described as Caucasian, about five-foot-two and about 115 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. She sometimes wears dark-rimmed glasses.

Police are also searching for a man who may have been with Bali at the bus depot before she went missing. RCMP say the man is not a suspect, but could have information that may help to located Bali.

The man is described as 40 to 50 years old and six feet tall with dark hair. He is said to have a stocky build with muscular arms. He also has tattoo on his arm – a circle with several designs and multiple colors.

RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
