Game day traffic restrictions return for Riders-Argos matchup

The Saskatchewan Roughriders host the Toronto Argonauts with road closures in effect around the stadium starting at 4 p.m.

Regina Police are reminding residents to plan ahead for road closures as the Saskatchewan Roughriders take on the Toronto Argonauts at Mosaic Stadium tonight.

Closures will begin at 4:00 p.m. and there will be no vehicle traffic allowed on the 1500, 1600, and 1700 blocks of Elphinstone Street .

Closures will also affect several intersections near the stadium, including Dewdney Avenue, 9th Avenue, and Saskatchewan Drive.

Additional road closures will be in effect at the following intersections:

• Elphinstone Street at Dewdney Avenue
• Princess Street and 9th Avenue
• Argyle Street and 9th Avenue
• McTavish Street and 9th Avenue
• Elphinstone Street and 9th Avenue
• Montague Street and 9th Avenue
• Montague Street and 10th Avenue
• Elphinstone Street and 10th Avenue
• Elphinstone Street and North Railway Street
• Saskatchewan Drive and Elphinstone Street

The Regina Police Service says officers and the Public Safety Unit will be on site to assist and ensure safety around the stadium.

Drivers and pedestrians are asked to follow all directions, remain patient and be courteous.
