Three people have been arrested and charged after a jewelry store in Regina was robbed over the summer.

Officers were first called to a business on the 400 block of Albert Street North shortly after 12 p.m. on Aug. 8 for a report of a robbery, according to a news release from the Regina Police Service (RPS).

RPS said several glass jewelry display cases were smashed and emptied by the time officers arrived, with the value of the stolen items estimated to be upwards of $200,000.

The RPS criminal investigation unit, the Saskatoon Police Service, the Edmonton Police Service, as well as RCMP detachments in Alberta and Saskatchewan contributed to the investigation over the course of seven weeks.

A man and a woman were arrested by members of the Warman RCMP detachment on Sept. 1, after a search of their vehicle found evidence related to the robbery, forged documents, and tools used to commit forgery, police said.

Another man was arrested in Edmonton, Alta. on Sept. 16.

A 34-year-old Edmonton woman and a 40-year-old man with no fixed address have been charged with robbery, possession of stolen property over $5,000, disguise with intent, possession of forgery instruments, identity theft, and possession of counterfeit money.

The woman is additionally charged with forgery of identity documents. She made her first court appearance in Regina on Sept. 8. The man made his first court appearance in Regina on Sept. 10.

An 18-year-old Edmonton man was charged with robbery with violence and disguise with intent. He made his court appearance in Regina on Sept. 22.
