Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival

Hot air balloons will fill the sky over Gatineau this weekend during the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival.

The festival runs until Sunday at Parc de la Baie in Gatineau, less than 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa.

Hot air balloon launches will take place every day at 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., subject to weather conditions.

There will also be an amusement park, fireworks, entertainment and more.

The music lineup includes TALK on Friday, Mia Kelly on Saturday and Alessia Cara on Sunday.

Ottawa Titans

The Ottawa Titans wrap up the regular season with a three-game series against the Tri-City ValleyCats this weekend at the Ottawa Baseball Stadium.

Friday night’s game begins at 7 p.m., followed by a 6 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1 p.m. start on Sunday.

The Titans are hosting Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, with a fireworks show after the game. There will also be fireworks following Saturday’s game.

Atletico Ottawa

Atletico Ottawa hosts Vancouver FC Saturday night at TD Place.

Game time is 7 p.m.

It’s La Fiesta night at TD Place, celebrating the local Hispanic and Latino community. There will be a Mariachi Band, Piñata Kids Crafts pre-game and at half-time, Latin Sparks Festival dancers and more.

YOWFest

Organizers announced Friday evening that YOWFest has been cancelled this weekend.

YOWFest was going to be a two-day cultural musical festival at Lansdowne Park, celebrating Canadian and global music culture.

Shawville Fair

The Shawville Fair runs until Labour Day in Shawville.

Billed as “The Valley’s Most Family Friendly Fair,” the fair includes a midway, petting farm and pony rides, dairy and beef barns, a demolition derby, home craft displays and more.

The musical lineup includes Glass Tiger Friday night, Parmalee Saturday and Brett Kissel on Sunday.
