Service disruptions on O-Train Line 1 between Sept. 26 and Oct. 2

OC Transpo’s O-Train Line 1 will be experiencing disruptions between Sept. 26 and Oct. 2 while the line undergoes maintenance.

On Friday, Line 1 will shut down at 8 p.m. and the R1 replacement bus will run between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair stations in its place.

Starting at 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 27, 29, 30, and Oct. 1 and 2, Line 1 will only run on one platform at some stations. While service will continue to run in both directions between Tunney’s Pasture and Blair stations, riders may experience longer wait times as a result.

The city says maintenance is being undertaken to improve reliability and ensure the long-term sustainability. The maintenance will include rail replacements, rail grinding, upgrades to support cable and general station maintenance and cleaning.

According to the city, there will also be service disruptions to the O-Train Line 1 on Oct. 4 and Oct. 5, but details of the closures have not yet been released.
