Ottawa police seek suspect in stolen card fraud

The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of using stolen debit and credit cards in Wellington West.

Police say a man broke into an office on Wellington Street West at around 12:50 p.m. Monday and stole a wallet. The suspect then allegedly used the debit and credit cards at several stores.

Police described the suspect as a white man, approximately 50 years old, of medium height and with a heavy build. He was clear shaven at the time of the incident and was seen wearing a khaki-coloured hoodie, a grey baseball cap, dark pants, and dark shoes.

Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect or this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Break and Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 4533.
