Ottawa drug trafficking investigation leads to drug seizure and charges

Ottawa police say they seized drugs and charged one man with multiple offences following a drug trafficking investigation in Centretown.

According to police, officers arrested two men on Tuesday, March 31 as part of the investigation.

One of the two men was released without charges, and the other is facing multiple charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Police say they seized approximately 38 grams of fentanyl, 849 methylphenidate pills, 229 biphentin pills, 154 hydromorphone pills, 31 morphine pills, 26 nabilone pills and approximately $7,300 in Canadian currency.

Police say they are still investigating and ask anyone with information about drug trafficking activity to contact them. Anonymous tips can be submitted at 1-800-222-8477.
