One dead following crash near Renfrew, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police say one person has died following a crash on Highway 17 near Renfrew.

The two-vehicle crash happened before 11 a.m. on the highway between Storyland Road and Bruce Street.

No other details about the collision have been released. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.

A stretch of Highway 17 remains closed between Storyland Road and Bruce Street.

The OPP is telling drivers to expect a lengthy closure and plan another route.
