Muggy Friday in the forecast for Ottawa

Another hot, humid day is in store for Ottawa, with a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon.

Environment Canada’s weather forecast for the capital calls for a high of 30 C with a humidex of 37. There is a 60 per cent chance of showers with the risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon.

By late afternoon, however, the sky should clear up.

Expect a clear sky overnight with a low of 16 C.

Saturday’s outlook is sunny in the morning followed by a few clouds with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon, with a high of 29 C and a humidex of 32.

Sunday’s forecast is cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 25 C.

Monday could see some sunshine with a high of 21 C.

The average high for this time of year is 24 C, while the average low is 13 C.
