Foggy morning followed by sunny and seasonal afternoon in Ottawa this Friday

After a chilly morning, in which the temperature in Ottawa dipped below the freezing mark for the first time this fall, the weather should warm to a more seasonal high in the afternoon.

Fog moved in over parts of downtown Ottawa Friday morning.

The fog was hanging over parts of Ottawa near the Ottawa River. Other areas of the city appeared to be clear Friday morning, and most of the fog had dissipated by 9 a.m.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for a sunny sky with a high of 15 C on Friday. The typical high is around 13 C.

Overnight, expect a few clouds and a low of 5 C.

Saturday is looking sunny and warmer than average with a high of 19 C.

Sunday could see a few clouds with a high of 16 C.

The forecast for Thanksgiving Monday is cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers.
