Mainly cloudy day followed by evening flurries in Ottawa

The capital is in store for a mostly cloudy day with some evening flurries on Saturday.

According to Environment Canada’s weather report, during the day, it will be mainly cloudy and temperatures will reach a high of -5 C.

While the forecast predicts a few flurries in the evening, it also predicts that the weather will warm slightly throughout the evening and reach 0 C by midnight.

Friday, Environment Canada told CTV News Ottawa that commuters should take precautions while driving this weekend as the mix of precipitation, wind and changing temperatures could create poor driving conditions.

Sunday’s forecast calls for a 40 per cent chance of flurries with a temperature high of -3 C and an overnight low of -17 C.

Monday is expected to reach a high of -5 C with a chance of flurries.
