Ontario Provincial Police say one section of road in eastern Ontario has reopened, while another remains closed following a pair of crashes on Friday. According to a statement on social media from OPP, the westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed between County Road 5 in Mallorytown and Reynolds Road in Lansdowne as emergency crews responded to a crash involving a transport truck and a passenger vehicle. The road reopened Friday evening. Police said injuries were being assessed and asked the public to avoid the area at the time. Injuries are being assessed and police are asking the public to avoid the area. In an update shortly before 7 p.m., police said the road remains closed.
